What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Assess current progress, identify problem area(s), and formulate goals.
Work to find ways to teach in a way that the particular student can grasp the subject.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have two Bachelors degrees from the College Of Charleston in Charleston, SC; Accounting and Business Administration. I also hold a Masters of Accounting from UGA.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I do not, I price based on travel time, numer of students and the overall difficulty of the subject matter.
How did you get started teaching?
I began when I was selected for a special program in high school to tutor other students. I continued that process informally throughout college, helping students who were struggling. Also, as part of my job, I trained and mentored newly hired accountants.
