Educational Excellence
About
I have unique tutoring methods that can help people with different learning styles. I also tutor several subjects, although math is the most requested. I am passionate about helping students succeed and reach their goals. I started tutoring as a freshman in high school and it carried on through college and I still tutor to this day because there is such a need for it. I do have a High School Diploma as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.
I thoroughly enjoy helping people succeed and reach their goals. Whether it is for a job, and they need to get a GED, or it's to graduate high school and they have to pass this last elective class in order to do so. I belief if you have a gift that can help people and don't use it, you're cheating yourself and them.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to form a relationship with my students and make sure we develop a foundation of trust. That ensures that they will believe that I sincerely do want to help them be successful. Also, I like getting to know them and how they learn most effectively. That helps me to know what the best tutoring method will be.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have graduated high school as well as college. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
The standard rate is $20 an hour. This can change depending on things such as commute, group sessions, etc.
How did you get started teaching?
I started in 1999 when I was a freshman in high school. Numerous friends of mine were struggling and we started coming to school early and staying at school late so I could tutor them. As their grades began to rise, I realized that this was something that I enjoyed doing.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have tutored students from elementary school to college. I have tutored students that go to public schools, private schools, and even homeschooled students. I have also tutored people for tests such as GED, ACT, and SAT.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I tutored a student that was trying to get in college and had failed the ACT several times. After I worked with them, they ended up passing the test and was accepted at the college. I was very proud of them for that accomplishment.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Get someone that is patient, can quickly adapt to change, and teaches in more than one way, so they can adapt to different styles of learning.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What exactly are my struggles? Is my grade suffering from homework, testing, or am I just not understanding the material? What do I need to focus on? The answers to these questions will help the tutor teach exactly what they need to teach and keep them from wasting time teaching material that the student already is comprehending.
