
As an English major in my undergraduate studies, l loved the various aspects of English ranging from grammar, to literature, and writing.
I have over 8 years of teaching and tutoring experience both in Memphis, Tennessee and Charlotte, North Carolina, which provides the opportunity to create unique tutoring sessions designed to enhance progress in areas of deficit.
In addition, l have earned a Master of Science degree in Instruction and Curriculum Leadership, and l am currently pursing a doctoral degree.

I prefer to ask the student and parents if they can identify the academic deficiency. From there l provide a diagnostic assessment to gauge performance levels in order to create a success plan.

I started at a small, private school. From there l moved three years later to teach in Charlotte, North Carolina.
I've worked with dysfluent students, those with behavioral and cognitive disorders, and English language learners.
I once had a student in the 6th grade reading on a 2nd grade level. He worked with me after school 3 days per week, and by the end of the school year, he was reading on grade level.
I would suggest that the student checks the teacher's credentials.
