ABC Math Tutoring

Anne Desruisseau is a retired math teacher with 30 years of experience teaching middle/high school. She has also tutored for many years for grades 3-12 and lower level college classes.

Anne has a BS in mathematics and a MS in education. She has taught in Texas, NewYork, and Tennessee. She recently moved to the Birmingham area and is looking forward to working with students here.

Anne believes students need a strong foundation in math in order to be successful, not only in math, but also in life. She gives students the building blocks they need to make the foundation they need to feel good about themselves.

Anne Desruisseau loves working with students. She is patient and flexible. She is able to get students who disliked math, to like math by helping them to understand concepts without the use of a calculator, especially the younger students. She loves to see the big smile on their face when they can work a problem with the correct work and answer.

Anne can’t explain how it feels when students have gained the confidence and willingness to learn more math.
