About
I have had tons of experience in many subjects and circumstances. I have worked in all core curriculum k-12, have worked in special needs services, and have recently returned to the US after teaching English over seas for 6 months. I truly enjoy teaching, and no matter where I find myself, I am always drawn to education.
I absolutely love kids, from nannying to teaching. When tutoring, I love nothing more than to see a child genuinely smile because they finally understand a concept or successfully complete a problem.

Frequently asked questions
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Depending on length, rigor, and financial status, I am open to negotiation. I typically span between $25-$35 an hour.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with a diverse body of students. Including: Chinese elementary kids in Shanghai, homeschooled students, students attending online school, students with Autism, as well as private and public school children.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have recently returned from Shanghai, China where I have been studying and teaching English. I do not speak Chinese, but through a combination of broken Chinese, broken English, charades, and patience, both the students and I had learned a great deal. I plan on returning in the fall.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for a teacher you can relate to. I have found it's less about an imminent pool of knowledge (although it helps!) and more about a personal understanding and patience.
