SPUNGE Math+ Tutoring
About
The best part of tutoring is seeing the person just "get it".
I also make beats on my youtube channel. I like to learn as much as I can and not just focus on one subject.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually have worked with family or friends of family. They know I have always gotten pretty good test scores and I flew through school. Im really good at math (not trying to brag) BUT I also only learn when things are explained in the most simple form. This is how I teach. Slow and steady wins the race. First I see exactly how advanced my student is in the subject and then we move on from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
High school diploma and self taught.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$20 Hour
How did you get started teaching?
Helping siblings and classmates with homework and schoolwork. I have had teachers ask me to help my fellow students with math and other subjects.
What types of students have you worked with?
Elementary-High school.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My sister had trouble with finding the slope of a graph and putting it into simplified slope intercept form. I worked with her for a few days and she understands it much better now. Math is very easy because it just follows rules. Once she learned the rules she could do the work without my help.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would say that patience is the most important thing. If your teacher is short tempered the student will be uncomfortable and not able to learn because they will be more concerned with the teacher being upset at them for not grasping the subject as fast as they want or expect them to.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Can I solve this myself or do I actaully NEED help grasping this problem? Besides this I feel the student should feel welcome to ask questions.
