What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We get to introduce ourselves and I get to know you a little better. Then we can go over your past experiences in math and set some goals for the future.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a middle school and high school math teacher for 12 years. I have also been able to tutor students from many different schools around Greenville.

My tutoring rate depends on the level of math and the amount of time per session.

I have a strong love and passion for math and for helping others understand how to do their best.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with many different types. There are those who need a confidence boost and those who are really struggling.
Even though there is a spectrum of students I have worked with, I firmly believe that every student can succeed in math!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I remember teaching a girl who stated that she "was not a math person." After teaching her for a year, she declared, "I guess I kind of like doing math!"
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure that you find not only the qualified person but the one you can also relate to.
