Frequently asked questions

New students will complete a learning styles form to pick up on their unique ways of learning. Additionally, we will discuss some basic math to pinpoint any foundational areas that may need reviewed. Then, we will look at the student's classroom materials they are currently studying.

I tutored while I was in college. After graduating college, I worked as a math interventionist for a year. I then began teaching math at the third grade level. After that year, I moved up to high school math where I taught for six years. Later on, I designed a class to help students prepare for the math portion of the college placement test.

The rate is $25.00 per hour.

I got started teaching because of the need for math intervention in the public school system. I initially worked with groups of between 4 to 6 students. It was a joy working with these children.

I have worked with students as young as third grade level to adults.

Recently, I helped a friend with understanding the compound interest formula. I explained that with formulas, you have to understand what all the parts are, and that once you did, it becomes doable. It was cool when my friend totally understood how to use the formula!

The advice I would give is to work with professionals that help you build your skills and encourage you through the learning process!
