Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I work hand in hand to build a specialized plan of action for each student to be successful. Our first lesson is centered around a 30 min. consultation which focuses on both their strengths and weaknesses. Once we locate the holes/learning gaps in their subject area; we proceed to build a Learning plan that is customized specifically to the students learning style.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Results-oriented and accomplished Special Education Academic Coach, with over fifteen years of experience in working with students with special accommodations and learning disabilities. I have taken my unique training and specially designed techniques to equip students with the necessary tools to develop their maximum potential. Each student learns differently and by modeling excellence through a distinctive curriculum with innovative and challenging instruction which fosters improvement measures across the core academic subject. By implementing and building self-organizational functions among each student has armed them with the ability to grow regardless of learning style, coupled with aligned strategic goals that create life-long learners. I am committed to fostering a positive learning atmosphere with forward-thinking mentality concepts.
