My business stands out because I truly love working with students of all ages and abilities! I love making learning fun! I want students to feel encouraged and smart after working with me. I have been working as an independent tutor for over 7 years. I have taught students of all ages and of varying abilities-- grade level, special needs, and gifted. I teach English -- writing, reading, speaking and listening comprehension -- to both native and non-native English speakers. I have helped students prepare for End of Course tests, essay writing, and study skills. I also tutor students in French -- beginner and intermediate levels. I am Eligible for Alternative Certification in French from the State of South Carolina and I have been issued a Statement of Eligibility to teach English -- grades K-12--in the State of Florida.
I love helping students erase their doubts and insecurities and feel competent! I find working one- one very rewarding, and I like devoting 100% of my attention to that one student. As a teacher, I don't just teach-- I learn from my students as well! I like to have fun and use humor appropriately to foster a relaxed environment.

I like to ask my new students questions about themselves, their tutoring objectives, and what are their passions. I like to be calm, flexible, cheerful, and encouraging. I also am prepared for all my lessons by emailing lesson plans in advance after we have met and decided on a plan. I ask my students at the end of the lesson if I met their objectives.
