Math Made Easy
About
I worked as a Math tutor in college while pursuing a degree in Engineering. I love Math. It is the one subject I've always ecelled in. I've been told that I am able to explain it in a way that makes sense by students I've tutored. Some teachers use big words and intimidating terminology that isn't necessary. I teach math in a way that is easier to comprehend. I use simple analogies and simple terms. A lot of the students I have helped think that they are bad at math, when they really aren't.
I love Math and Science. I love kids too.
My son is homeschooled. Tutoring allows me to teach him, and work from home at the same time.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I look at what they are learning specifically. Then I ask them to explain to me what they feel they do and do not understand. Then I work through problems step by step, start to finish, and explain why and how I am doing them. Then I let them work through a few and allow them to ask me questions as they do. I work with them. Then I give them a few to do on their own. Then on to their assignment. I look over their answers. I'll point out the ones they miss and see if they can explain to me what error they think they made. Then I go over those problems with them to demonstrate how to get to the correct answer.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an associates in science, I worked for three years as a college math tutor, I have two years design engineer experience on high-rises, and I have two years experience doing construction estimating.
