About
My student-clients are very satisfied when SAT/ACT scores rise to the standard of their college choices in a few weeks. When parent-clients ask me to "help with the common app and scholarship essays" after scores are achieved, I interpret that as a high-five rating. My tecnique is simple. Figure out where the student is and then, move them to the next level.
Every student-client who successfully raises his/her SAT/ACT score learns a little bit more about how to solve problems and how to overcome adversity. To be an inspiration and a guide for these young people is my way of leaving this world a better place.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
At our first session, I assess the student's academic goals i.e. do they want to raise their SAT/ACT scores? Gain entrance into a specific school or college? Do they need scholarships? We also discuss their favorite courses and what obstacles they see in their academic future. Next, we establish a plan for success and they decide whether they are "all in." Next, we review questions that were confusing or they did not answer correctly on the practice tests. And we devote about 20 minutes of each session to their common app and scholarship search.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My degrees in Secondary Education and Economics and Professional Writing are my credentials. But credentials do not help you thrive in classrooms from remedial history to Advanced Placement European History and English for twenty years.
