Learn From A Medical Student!
About
Hi all! I'm Ryan, a first year medical student at Brown University. As I transitioned from high school to undergrad and into medical school, I relied heavily on my tutors and mentors. I'd love to serve this same roll for my students on Tutors.com!
I have experience working with students from 4th - 12th grade and into college. I've worked on reading and math skills for those in middle school, ACT/SAT prep for those applying to college, and led two chemistry groups for first-year undergraduate students. I feel like I can bring my unique background in math, science, and other test prep to a wide range of students.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I start with a student, I like spending the first 5-10 minutes getting to know a little more about them, their interests, and their background. I then start on the lesson/objective and gauge understanding. By knowing where the student is with the material, I can then cater my approach and teaching style to them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's in Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology (PNP) from Washington University in St. Louis and am working towards my MD at Brown University. Throughout my education, I have developed strengths in math and science (especially biology and chemistry).
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My rate begins at $30/hour, but I am open to discussing rates that best fit.
