Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, we need to get on the same page. I'd like to know exactly what the students goals are, and make sure we agree on how exactly we will acomplish those goals.
Second, we get to work. If the student has specific work they need to complete, we will work together to complete it. Or, if it is more of a general session, I will provide work/tasks for the session.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Masters Degree in Teaching Mathematics. I am currently a middle school math teacher in northeastern Pennsylvania.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$30 per session. Sessions typically last 30 minutes.
How did you get started teaching?
My wife is a teacher and when we started dating, I fell in love with her life as a teacher! She came home with so much joy everyday and I wanted to be apart of it. It was one of the best decisions of my life (:
What types of students have you worked with?

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Do what you're doing right now. Read about them. Find out if it's a good fit before you jump in.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
You need to have a goal in mind. What exactly do you want to accomplish? What is your timeframe to accomplish the goal?
