About
While traditional tutoring methods rely on a teach-and-do basis, I aspire to apply engaging techniques that promote active learning skills. I have been tutoring since my freshman year of high school and my clients have loved this approach for how quickly it helps them grasp difficult concepts in the field of mathematics. I have a 5 in both AP Statistics and AP Calculus and have aced all of the other mathematics courses that I have taken in high school, including an opencourseware college algebra one. I am also an incoming bioscience + computerscience student at university. Looking forward to tutor bright minds!

Starting from 30$/hr for most mathematics but can vary from student to student. I take PayPal or Venmo, but I'm very willing to work with students and families to find what works.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching when I realized that I was able to quickly pick up difficult concepts in math classes that my peers couldn't. Seeing how I was able to help the students in my classes understand these concepts through an engaging learning process, I aspire to do this for other students all over the country as well.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students ranging from eighth grade to college seniors, from 12 to 43 years old.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
One advice I would give to a student looking to hire a teacher in th field of mathematics is to find someone that enjoys teaching it in a way that stems away from the traditional classroom lecture format.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should decide what amount of time forks best for them and what specifically do they need help with. It helps to know what students need and how to provide it.
