What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I would first love to meet you, yes a Meet and Greet! Usually done at the Library or Panera, parents and student can meet me, share background and pertinent character or problem information. We then decide if onine, or in person at home or library is best, and if once or twice a week is best. Students usually bring school work that is giving trouble to start. At that time, I can access if outside supplements or maniplatives are needed. I help bring success right away to immediate schoolwork.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Hello! I believe raising 5 successful children, college bound and complete scholarship says it all! Sometimes we need to build confidence in a student or take away " stinking thinking" which can be a roadblock for succeeding. I have a Master's Level training in Math and Education. I have also taught 6th grade full time, tutored and substutute taught over 7 years and now teach college freshman with Math and Algebra.
