About
Since my origins in tutoring lie in helping fellow classmates in my undergraduate and graduate programs, I'm used to working side-by-side with students; acting as a partner in achieving a common goal. That experience gave me a deep understanding of the every day struggles that students face and how to best overcome challenges. That experience formed my approach in helping students; I fully integrate with the student's goals and dedicate myself to their sucess. This involves crafting a personalized approach, giving each student the tools they need to suceed.
I developed a passion for learning and helping others learn throughout my entire acedemic career. Now with my current full-time career, I don't get the enjoyment of the acedmeic pursuits like I used to. Helping students achieve their desired level of sucess is a way for me to stay involved in a acedemic envirnoment and fulfill my life-long passion of learning.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
After taking on a new student, I first request that I am sent the specific content that the student would like to cover. Wether it be specific practice problems or in-class examples, I will review the content ahead of the session to ensure that I am fully prepared and to ensure each session is effective and effcient.
I also like to have a preliminary call with the student ahead of the first tutoring session to understand a little more about the student and determine if there is anything I can do to tailor the sessions to their specific needs. My ultimate goal is to ensure the student gets the most out of each session and achieves the desired level of sucess in their course.
As things progress, the student and I can take some time during each session to align on what content we need to cover and/or specific tactics we can take to tackle the current course load.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned a degree Mechancial Engineering Degree (BSME) from West Virginia University in 2012 and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh in 2019. Upon compeltion of my MBA in 2019, I was unducted into the prestigious business honors society Beta Gamma Sigma due to my high scholastic preformance.
As part of these rigourous circumulums, I gained deep acedemic experience and knowledge in a broad spectrum of math and science diciplines; including Algebra, Trigonometry, Statistics, Calculus, Physics and many more advanced courses. Along with the academic knowledge I obtained, I developed effective skills at test taking and strategies on how to succeed in courses.

I have a standard flat rate of $40/session
How did you get started teaching?
While completing both of my degrees, I always took a strong interest in helping my fellow class-mates study and succeed in our coruses. Upon completion of my MBA, I realized that I wanted to conitue the journey of helping students suceed and acheive their goals. Tutoring is a great way for me to pursue my full-time career while conitnuing to help students and stay engaged in acedemics on the side.
What types of students have you worked with?
Most of my experience has been tutoring undergraduate and graduate students
