About this tutor

Welcome! I am a recent college graduate with my bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. I have a full time job as an engineer, but have a passion for sharing my knowledge in various math and physics topics! I have been tutoring since high school and through college, (about 9 years) but am new to this site!

I enjoy spending my time working with students of any level to better their analytical skills! My favorite part of tutoring is seeing the "click" when my students understand a certain topic. Throughout school, I found the best way to learn was by example. I love showing a student how a problem is done and why it is done a certain way!

Rachel was thorough when going through my son’s homework problems with him. He seems to have a much better idea of what to look for when working through math problems. She’s very knowledgeable and patient!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

We begin by reviewing past work done by the student. This is important to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement. A common method to my tutoring is reworking old exams or homework to show solutions to repeated errors.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
