About

I am extremely flexible and will adjust my teaching style to the client's needs. I am a student and have a lot of insight into what is necessary to achieve success with studying and test taking strategies.

I think that tutoring is a great way to help people gain an interest in academics. When I was younger I HATED math, but after some tutoring I realized that it was the method of teaching not the subject. I love seeing other people make this same realization.

I was initially skeptical about hiring another student, but he helped me pass Calculus! Highly recommend.

    Frequently asked questions

I will have a quick meeting to discuss their expectations and needs. I will then design a curriculum specifically for them.

I am a junior in college double majoring in Applied Math and General Science. I have been a peer tutor for 2 years at the United States Naval Academy.

$30 per hour of tutoring. $15 for the preparation, and $15 for the hour.

I did well in my Calculus classes freshman year so then I began to work with the academics staff at my school. This involved tutoring and counciling struggling students specifically in math and organization.

I have worked mostly with students 18-24 years old, but have no issue working with other age groups including older adults and younger children.

I would say that it's important to find something personalized because people learn in different ways. What works for other students may not help you at all.

I always tell my students to pick a couple specific problems from previous tests or homework that they still struggle with and to bring them to the first interview. This allows me to immediately see what areas to focus the tutoring around and gauge their thought process by having them talk through the problems.
