I have been an educator for 20 years, and I have taught in multiple grade levels from 3rd through high school.I have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Masters Degree in K-12 Reading. I was a classroom teacher for 10 years, and for the last 10 years I have worked as an Instructional Coach. I have provided teachers professional development to help them become better teachers who engage students in learning ,so I know how to make learning engaging and meaningful. I have tutored students in Reading,Math, Social Studies and Science.
I enjoy working with people to help them achieve their goals and dreams. Helping someone succeed after they were not sure they could accomplish something is one of the most rewarding things for an educator.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first step would be to learn about the student strengths and weaknesses as well as getting to know their learning styles and personality.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in education for 20 years with positions as a classroom teacher, reading specialist, instructional coach, and career and college readiness coordinator. In my role as a reading specialist, I organized and implemented a tutoring program that took place before, during and after school, and I developed lessons that met the individual learning needs of students. I also was an Instructional Coach for teacher to help them improve their teaching through professional development in and out of the classroom.
