I really enjoy helping people reach their educational goals. I never realized teaching was in my blood until I started as a volunteer in an elementary school. That was 2007. More than 15 years later, I am still in awe of how people learn and how to help them reach their goals.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Building relationships and being relatable is key, in my opinion, for a successful learning environment. I take time at each session to get to know more about my students. It is important to know what each student needs and/or expects from our sessions. Each student has his/her own needs so lessons are tailored accordingly.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am state certified in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania for elementary and English as a Second Language education. I have also worked with adults, mostly teaching ESL (English as a Second Language). I have worked with students both online and face to face, again, depending on the students needs.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Online sessions range from $20 to $30 per hour. Face to face lessons start at $40.
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching when my children were born. My oldest was born 2001, my second child in 2003, and my youngest in 2005. I volunteered in an elementary school in 2007, teaching Spanish to a 2nd grade classroom. I fell in love with teaching and got my bachelor degree in psychology in 2012 and my master in education in 2014.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with my different students ranging from kindergarten through adult. I have taught all elementary school subjects through 5th grade, reading/writing/comprehension through 8th grade, and ESL (English as a Secong Language) through adult.
