Essay Writing And English Language Tutor
About
I am a 23-year-old graduate of the University of Scranton with a Bachelor's degree in Strategic Communication. My degree refined my already advanced communication abilities in all areas. Ranging from corporate communication to creative writing, I have a strong grasp on both MLA style writing and Associated Press stylings. I have an education in various forms of public speaking, including persuasive pitching, informational speeches, and panel-style presentation.
I have been published multiple times, the earliest in 4th grade for poetry, and most recently for a nationally recognized homemaking blog. I have published educational children's book available for purchase. I have presented for C-Level executives, traveled to DC to represent my university at a holiday reception, and held multiple prestigious internships in multiple areas of communication.
I graduated as a member of Alpha Delta Sigma, a national honor society and worked as a resident assistant with first-year college students with an interest in the arts.

I have a passion for writing, speaking, and reading. Tutoring students in these areas is very fulfilling for me, as I spent most of my academic and extracurricular career in mentoring roles for fellow students of all ages. I believe that every student deserves an opportunity to work with a tutor who acknowledges their individual difficulties and helps them in a way that best suits their learning style.
Tutoring during such a difficult time in the world, allows me to help others from a safe distance, as well as ensure that students do not have their futures disadvantaged because of a situation that is out of their control.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Given the current quarantine situation, our first step would be to get in touch via email to discuss the needs of each student and the length of tutoring. While students are not required to have an exact end date for tutoring, it can be helpful for me to develop a personalized plan for a student if I know what the end goal is (ex. a single paper, a full semester, standardized test essay prep, etc.).
This initial contact is also an opportunity for the student to express any concerns, anxieties, or questions they may have about the tutoring process, subject at hand, or final outcome. Having worked with first-year college students and as a mentor for 8th graders entering high school, I understand that each student learns differently and also has individual roadblocks to overcome. I strive to help them in ways that work best for them.
