About
Tom's Technical Tutoring focuses on students wanting to boost their STEM skills.
I've worked with teaching elementary-highschool students Lego robotics and arduino and graduated from Penn State with a degree in mechanical engineering. I'm also a graduate student in New York University's Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering Masters. I've filed a patent with NYU's office of technology transfer and formed a company that raised $400,000 of capital and submitted to the FDA. I also filed two other invention disclosures regarding novel blockchain and aeroponics technologies I developed. I also consult with manufacturing companies internationally reagrding operational improvements.
My focus on the fundamental skills of STEM has allowed me to accomplish this and I would like to share this understanding.
My passion is utilizing the interconnected nature of the sciences to enhance others understanding of the world around them.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to start with identifying the topics that that are relevant and asking a few questions to gauge the students current level of understanding. After knowing where the student is currently and the topics that they want to learn I can outline a study plan to allow the student and the parents to easily gauge the student's progress.
