I began tutoring while still in high school. I love seeing the "lightbulb" moment when students finally understand a concept that they've been struggling with.
During my time tutoring at Harrisburg University, I gained my NTA Basic Levl certification.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I tend to start a session with a "Getting to Know You" exercise. I like to get a feel for the student's learning style, as well as begin to build a relationship.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry. I began my job as a peer tutor as a first semester freshman, and continued working there until I graduated December 2018.
I obtained my Basic Level Certification through the NTA.
