I have been in education for over 25 years. I have served as a math teacher, team leader and math adjunct professor at a local community college. My passion for math has lead me to a role as a leadership coach. I am able to work in both virtual or face-to-face environments. I would be honored to be able to help you with your math questions and future learning goals.
Students can learn at every level and finding the pathway to their achievement is my passion!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The student or parents can share the information they have on the student's individual progress, strengths and concerns. I also will look into data regarding achievement. This can be formative assessments, teacher feedback, homework and current undetstanding of the material.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an undergraduate degree in mathematics, a master degree from Millersville in mathematics. I currently teach at the college level in introductory courses and trigonometry. I have been working in both face to face instructional space as well as virtual environments.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I like to keep that simple. $25 a session for an hour of instruction.
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching at the age of 18. I was teaching color guard and marching band students. Simultaneously, I was tutoring students while I attend college for a math teaching degree.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have provided instruction for students from 6th grade thru college seniors. This includes students with IEPs, 504 plans and a general concern about their math abilities levels. I also have provided support and instruction in gifted coursework.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The transition to on line learning has been a big change for many many indiduals both young and old. I have found that creating a positive learning environment that allows everyone to succeed in their own space is very very important. I have been witness to this occuring time and time again over the past few months. Although I may not call this a fond memory, I find myself in awe of individuals ability to succeed no matter the obtacles placed before them.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone that is passionate about learning, students and providing support no matter the circumstances.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Why do you like math and how will you provide me support in my area of math?
