Tutoring Club Of Wilmington
About
We only hire the best subject tutors who are able to work with students in grades K-12. Also, we have an excellent SAT/ACT prep course that has helped students to improve upon their previous scores. Finally, Tutoring Club's Math, Reading and Writing programs have been designed to help students catch up, get ahead and gain self confidence.
At Tutoring Club, we love working with students. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing a student progress academically over the length of a school year. Students feel better about themselves when their grades go up in school.
Also, we love working with our students' parents and the schools in our area. I personally enjoy being part of this community.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Younger students take an assessment test which is used to highlight their strengths and weaknesses before enrolling at Tutoring Club. We encourage our middle and high school students to try out tutoring for 2-4 sessions to see if it is a good fit for them. Finally, our SAT/ACT students take a practice test before beginning our 32-hour programs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified teacher who has been in education for over 17 years. Prior to owning Tutoring Club, I taught both college and high school.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Our parents pay by either the month, through an hourly package or with an interest free payment plan that makes tutoring affordable.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching college and then went back to get my secondary education teaching certificate. I later went on to teach high school before opening Tutoring Club.
What types of students have you worked with?
We have worked with all types of students at Tutoring Club.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We recently had a high school junior whose scores improved dramatically on her last SAT.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
When looking for a tutor, hire the person or company that provides you with expertise in their area of content. You deserve a content specialist to work with your student.
