I’m a current college student at UPenn studying liberal arts/social sciences. I’ve always loved creative writing and grammar, and got 5s on both AP English classes in high school.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I want to figure out your own personal writing style and then make progress from there. In writing, it is important for your own voice to shine through, even after edits and suggestions from outside sources. My goal is to take your writing and your voice and build upon that.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve taken all AP English classes in high school and gotten 5s. I also went through the process of writing college essays to many different schools, and got accepted to a bunch!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing depends upon individual students’ needs. My pricing is usually $20/lesson, but can vary depending on the student (his or her needs, the type of writing, etc.)
How did you get started teaching?
I tutored throughout high school, on both English/creative writing as well as math. I have always enjoyed sharing my knowledge with others and helping people in areas that they struggle with.
What types of students have you worked with?
I’ve worked mostly with low-income students during high school, but have also helped many high school seniors through their college essay process.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I understand how difficult the college and AP process is. If I were looking for a tutor, I’d look for someone friendly and able to work closely with me to produce the best possible work.
