I am a certified Reading Specialist and elementary teacher with many years of experience. Let’s discuss your vision for your child as a reader, but first let me introduce myself.
I have a unique ability to build connections with students. Also, I bring tremendous passion to my work. I am very motivated to support students in achieving their goals. I have extensive experience in elementary grades and subjects. As a former English major, I am a great resource for writing essays and preparing presentations. Presently, I am pursuing a masters in online teaching, which will be my fourth graduate degree in the field. My intent is to pursue
doctoral degree in literacy so I can be an expert and model for the next generation!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first step is to learn about the student and the tutoring need. First, I discuss the child and his or her situation with the parent. Next, an initial meeting occurs in which I get to know the student and provide a short assessment. At the end of the first session, I meet with the parent to discuss the results and determine a plan of action.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a master's degree in Early Childhod and Elementary Education, and I am pursuing a master's in Reading to become a Reading Specialist.
