Serena H. says, "Susan is a phenomenal tutor. She has been helping me study for my college placement exams and she has exceeded all my expectations for what an online tutor be like. She quickly adapts to my preferred speed of learning and will go over a subject as may times as necessary (with me that can be a lot) with the patients of an angel!! She is very kind, knowledgeable, and funny. I will continue to utilize Susan as a resource for both myself and my children, as well as refer her out to anyone I know is in need. I do not put my students on the same scale.I understand each individual/student has different learning capability & i respect that. I like to know what my student needs & expects from me. I chalk out the plan specific to each individual & work with them to achieve it. Working in tutoring industry for almost a decade & seeing my students reach where they are currently gives me a great satisfaction & peace of mind in what I am doing. I love working with students & making them learn that can help them grow big in their careers personally & professionally....

Anyone who has ever met me has suggested that I become a teacher. I’ve always had a very logical response: “No, I would rather not spend the rest of my life in a school.”. Now I have spent several years working as a substitute for our local school district, tutoring students and teaching in a preschool. I am so happy to help students succeed and I have found the greatest successes come when students are met where they are academically. When students have access to individual guidance and teaching that suits their learning style they are more likely to not only absorb new information, but retain it and understand better what they are learnin

I’m a Cal Poly student majoring in mechanical engineering with a math minor, and math has always been a big part of my life. I really enjoy solving math problems and find satisfaction in breaking down complex concepts. One of my favorite things is working with kids on math problems, helping them understand and appreciate the subject as much as I do. It’s rewarding to see their confidence grow and to share my passion for math in a way that’s fun and engaging.

We hired Susan to help our daughter Caidyn with Geometry. Susan made her feel comfortable and worked hard to make sure she understood her lessons. Susan was flexible with her time when Caidyn needed extra help to get through her work. Caidyn's grade went up significantly because of the help she got. If we need help again in the future, we will definitely hire Susan.

My situation was unique. I had serious epileptic seizures during high school resulting in multiple brain surgeries and a long, challenging recovery. Matt entered my life during this time; I still had assignments to complete before graduation and an impending SAT exam, so I met with Matt twice a week and learned the essential concepts of writing and reading comprehension. While math was my strong suit, Matt helped me identify some earlier math concepts that needed refreshing. My initial SAT score prior to my relationship with Matt was 1260, but, after tutoring, I received a 1510 and was accepted by my school of choice for pre-med studies. I continue to meet with Matt two or three times per week during my undergraduate studies for more advanced writing strategies. I cannot imagine a better academic mentor than I have found with Matt.
