Hi! I'm Brooke, and most likely not much older than you (or your student). I have a fresh memory of the high school curriculum and remember all of my shortcuts. Because students and I are probably closer in age, we have a chance to create a strong connection and improve our communication levels. Finding help can be intimidating, especially when it feels like everyone understands but you. We can create isolated goals that take us through weeks of a learning journey- let's break down big achievements into more realistic stepping stones! If there are only a few stressful or confusing questions in the homework tonight, we can knock those bad boys out! I welcome any parental advice/input, as they will know their children best, or I can work with them to understand what they find perplexing and over-complicated. I’ve tutored children ages 8-12 and my own peers when in high school (ages 13-18). I love exploring challenging topics and will adapt to whatever thinking process works best for me.
