I am a Materials Scientist with a Ph.D. degree from Louisiana Tech University in the field of Engineering with Materials and Construction Systems Emphasis.
I have been involved in academic environments since 1998, and the transmission of knowledge is one of my dearest activities.
I work hard to bring the best out of my students. My approach is to pay attention to details in order to ensure that they understand basic concepts from where they can build a deeper understanding of the subject. I am a passionate instructor in various fields related to materials science, such as chemistry, mathematics, physics, probability and statistics and more.

-Ph.D. in Engineering with Materials and Construction Systems Emphasis at Louisiana Tech University (2010).
-Author of 10 scientific publications in the field of cement and concrete research.
-Presenter in more than 10 scientific conferences around the world.
-Owner of one patent in the field of geopolymer cement.
-Advised 4 doctoral, 11 masters and 2 bachelor students.
-Post-doctoral researcher of the year (Louisiana Tech University, 2013).
-Governor's Technology Product of the Year (Louisiana, 2012).

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to conduct an evaluation of the proficiency of the student to determine where to start in order to provide them with a solid foundation in the subject.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked as an Assistant Professor at Louisiana Tech University and have also taught classes at the masters and bachelor level, and tutored students privately.

How did you get started teaching?
The first time I was involved in teaching a lecture was as a T.A. during my undergrad studies, when I taught the subject of algebra for freshmen. After that, I have taught in numerous occasions in several institutions.
