I have a Master's degree and Ph.D. in English, with many years of successfully guiding students of all ages to successful reading, writing, and critical thinking.

We learn when we care. I love working with students to help them find how to relate their passions, past-times, and goals to their academic tasks and skills. In doing so, I consider how the mind makes meaning, and also how and why people are motivated, and then I help develop a strategy that is custom-fitted to the learner's mind and preferences.

I like seeing results based on a careful ongoing assessment of skill levels, needs, interests and academic goals.

I have specialized in Dual Enrollment students whose courses will simultaneously count toward an Associate's Degree. When the students graduate from high school, they will already have an Associate's Degree, which results in a significant savings in both time and tuition.
