Math, English & Spanish Tutoring
About
Hi, I'm Sukanya! I would love to help you achieve your academic goals by helping you understand concepts/specific questions, study for a test, proofread your paper, or learn to be a better English writer! I have 3 years of experience tutoring middle and high school kids, and I have 100% parent satisfaction along with a track record of grade improvement. I have also scored in the top 1% in many standardized tests (SAT 1580/1600), and I am excited to share my strategies of success with you.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
After getting to know you, I will help you with any academic work that you may want to review or understand better. I am very flexible, so whatever needs you have, I will do my best to meet. I typically tutor over Skype, Zoom, or Facetime, but feel free to contact me if you would like to try something else.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I founded my high school's Tutoring Club, and I have been tutoring students for the last 3 years in math, English, and Spanish! After I graduate high school, I will be attending Dartmouth College this fall. I also taught a summer health and fitness class at my local YMCA for children 5-13 years old, so I have experience teaching a wide variety of age groups to keep them engaged and learning! My personal qualifications include 4.0/4.0 GPA, National Merit Finalist, AP Scholar with Distinction, US Presidential Scholar Semifinalist, National Spanish Exam Gold Medalist in Levels 2,3, & 4, Yale Club Book Award Recipient, George Washington University Book Award Recipient, Independent Study & Challenge Scholar, and member of Cum Laude, National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and the Headmaster's List.
How did you get started teaching?
I used to help my peers with their homework and studying for fun, but then I realized how much I loved helping students feel confident and really grasp the material!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked primarily with middle and high school students, but I have also taught younger children. Please reach out to me, and I would be happy to make sure that I would be a good fit for you!
