About
Hello, my name is Belina! I am a high school student going into sophomore year. I have experience (achieved an A- or higher every semester taking the honors/AP version of the course) with basic arithmetic, pre-algebra, algebra 1, geometry, algebra 2, and basic statistics. I enjoy working with younger kids but also love helping my peers in areas they may be struggling in. I work in more of a “you try and I help” type of way, as I will show how to do something, and then have whoever I’m working with show me the steps in how they personally would do a problem, then I will watch and evaluate how they do certain problems and then critique any steps and teach how they should be working on the question. I have previous volunteer experience with younger children as a volunteer intern with the National Inventors Hall of Fame’s Camp Invention program where I watched and mentored a group of younger kids grades K through 3rd grade. I am excited to start out my journey, as whether it’s through tutoring or me simply helping out a kid in my class, I truly enjoy watching others grow with my help.
