Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I begin a session by asking a student about what they feel their learning struggles are and how they learn best. I try to focus on the most difficult subjects and then refresh on the skills they excel more in. I set my expectations for the session and then explore the student's goals and preferences as well. We work together to form a comfortable and productive learning environment.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have held four tutoring positions over five years. I have taught all ages from elementary to university level. I hold a nursing degree with a high school GPA history of 4.0 and a college GPA of 3.9. I have tutored in English, writing, algebra, biology, basic math, chemistry, nursing courses, and more.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Depending on the age and course, I will charge from $30-$50 an hour. I put a lot of work into learning the students material and creating education tools for them individually.
