About
I have tutored students from elementary to college age. I focus on preparation and working with an educator. I usually travel to a student and I am willing to meet where they want.
I enjoy getting students either prepared or back on track. Really, fundementals and reminders are important. I like to see students improve their grades and understanding of the material. And if they learn to like Math more.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I try to find where a student is at in the school year. Find out where they think they need the most improvement. Students give good feedback. Then I make general suggestions and go over detailed examples of what problems need work. I encourage preparation and strengthen basic math skills if needed. And communicating with an educator is important. Having a tutor can build confidence to speak up in class and after.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
How did you get started teaching?
I started tutoring independently whilst a student at Bowling Green State University. I was on the list of tutors in their math department. After helping out multiple students I was referred to their athletic department to work but did not work for them as my schedule while taking classes required me to work independently at that time. I was very pleased and thankful to have received that referral though.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students from elementary school to college and some who were looking to obtain their GED who were going back to college.
