Helping others to have that lightbulb moment is the best feeling. It feels great to see a student to finally understand a concept that they had struggled with and to see their excitement about it.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first talk with the student to understand their motivations, interests, struggles, and the way they learn in order to craft a tutoring session designed to help the student learn in the best way for their style.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently student teaching and am about to graduate with degrees in history, social studies, and secondary education. I have previously worked with children as a tutor, counselor, and coach.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I generally charge around $30 for a half-hour, $45 for 45 minutes, and $60 for an hour. Pricing is not set, however, and I am flexible to needs.
How did you get started teaching?
I was inspired by my high school teachers and their passion and I knew that I wanted to inspire and excite others in that way.
