Although teaching mathematics is a challenging task, I try to educate my students at a deep level of understanding and attempt to show my students how captivating mathematics can be, while focusing on reaching students of all backgrounds and learning styles. I believe the goal should be to impart a deep understanding of the course material that allows my students to apply the mathematics they have learned to succeed in subsequent math courses. I got my PhD from Purdue University and have experience in teaching Math for more than 30 years. Most of my students I tutored previously achieved excellent results.

I am a science teacher and have been teaching the past ten years. I teach primarily Bio and Ap Bio, but I also have numerous years of experience teaching Chemistry, Physical Science, and Marine Science. I received my undergraduate in Biology at Ohio State and my Masters in Education at the University of Notre Dame. My teaching philosophy is to ask questions frequently while drawing models and introducing new concepts.
