Although teaching mathematics is a challenging task, I try to educate my students at a deep level of understanding and attempt to show my students how captivating mathematics can be, while focusing on reaching students of all backgrounds and learning styles. I believe the goal should be to impart a deep understanding of the course material that allows my students to apply the mathematics they have learned to succeed in subsequent math courses. I got my PhD from Purdue University and have experience in teaching Math for more than 30 years. Most of my students I tutored previously achieved excellent results.

I will provide the best assistance that I can. I will provide clues and hints, so the student can come up with their own answers.

I have been an English teacher and school counselor for nearly 40 years. I have also worked with college students and professional educators. I love educcation and working with young people, not to speak of the love for my subject area. I enjoy working with young people and more so when I can see that "light bulb" go on in their understanding of what they seemed to be confused about! In other words=When they "get it"!
