What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Depending on each students' needs and what they would like to be tutored on, I have them send me one paragraph on what it is I can help them with. The parapragh will help me see what level of grammar, spelling etc the student is on. From there, we will assess what needs to be done.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have experience working with ESL(English is Second Language) students for four years
I Have worked with special needs kids with reading and writing
Currently serve as a rapporteur for the American Model United Nations. Rapporteurs for those who are not familiar with the term are, "Members of the dais, typically alongside a Chair and/or Director. Their roles include but not limited to, editing Working Papers / Draft Resolutions, and determining the scope of a committee's powers."
Graduated College with a Bachelor's Degree, during my time there I specialized in college essays, short stories and poems, although my degree was International Studies.
I have written several short stories that I am in works to have published.

Elementary Students = 15 hr
Middle School Students = 20 hr
High School Students = 25 hr
College Students = Rates are based on work assignment. I will work out pricing per situation.

Realized it was a passion while in college. I've been tutoring my peers since 2015.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure if you're paying for a tutor, that you're tutor is teaching you how to fish instead of giving you a fish. Meaning, you might want work to be handed to you but could you write your own essay without that tutor? What if you couldn't pay for their services, could you manage? Make sure that you are learning as you go!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Ask yourself, "what exactly am I struggling with?"
Be honest with yourself and your answer, it will help you tremendously. Remember, it's alright to spill out your needs to your tutors because they understand and have worked with students similiar to you already.
