About
I am currently a fourth-year medical student at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. My degrees include B.A., B.S., A.A., and A.S. I am a graduate from Lake Erie College, where I was a valedictorian and Summa Cum Laude recipient. I also began college at the age of 13, graduating with both my associates at 16 and both my bachelor's by 19.
Education has always been a huge priority in my life. Being born in India and then traveling to over 10 countries before settling in the United States, I learned the importance of academics and its ability to connect individuals through continents. Had it not been for my mother's Ph.D., I would not have afforded the many opportunities that came my way.
After arriving in the United States, I became enraptured by the culture and excelled in school. At the age of 13, I began taking college courses at Lakeland Community College, graduating as a Valedictorian and Dean's Award recipient at the age of 16. It was at this time I also received my Associate of Arts and Science.
At the age of 19, I graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors from Lake Erie College, where I obtained my Bachelors of Arts and Bachelors of Science. My majors included Biology, with a concentration in Pre-Med, and Political Science, with a concentration in Pre-Law. I minored in English, Math, and Chemistry.
In 2016, I was accepted to medical school at Ohio University. I have a deep passion for tutoring and helping individuals reach their potential. Due to this, I continued tutoring throughout medical school and am very involved in my students' academic careers.
For me, teaching transcends a profession. I have seen the pride in my students' eyes at excelling a subject they initially thought was impossible. Having taught for over 15 years in a variety of settings including home-schooling, private schools, universities, and other academic centers, I am well aware of numerous strategies to help individuals reach their educational goals.

My methodology is centered on meeting my students where they are. I assess their goals and work to create a tangible schedule that will allow them to reach their academic objectives.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently a fourth-year medical student at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. I will graduate as a Physician in May. My degrees include Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Associates of Arts, and Associates of Science. I am a graduate of Lake Erie College, where I was a valedictorian and Summa Cum Laude recipient. I began college at the age of 13, graduating with both my associates at 16 and both my bachelors by 19. In undergrad, I majored in Biology and Political Science with a minor in English, Chemistry, and Math. I intend on completing a residency in Ohio and working as a Family Physician in the near future. I hope to continue tutoring throughout residency as I did during medical school. I come from a family of professors, so teaching is in my genetics and a strong passion of mine.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I am flexible with pricing. I have families that pay me $30/hour while others pay me $70/hour. I believe that money should not be a hindrance to education, so I am happy to work within your financial constraints.
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching when I started college at 13 at Lakeland Community College. I was hired as an academic Math tutor there and my experience grew from that. Shortly after, I began tutoring for many of the local schools and then, obtained another tutoring position at Lake Erie College. As I obtained my degrees, I continued to help other students and have done so throughout medical school.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have tutored a variety of students. I have experience tutoring middle and high schoolers in both private, public, and online schools. I also have experience tutoring undergraduate and graduate-level courses to a multitude of individuals.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I just found out today that I matched into a residency program in Family Medicine! So, I will have the pleasure of serving Northeast Ohio as a physician later this year, which is very exciting for me!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The biggest advice I can give a student is to work with a tutor you mesh well with! It should not be a chore, but rather a fun experience that you look forward to. I try to make my students comfortable and serve as more of a friend in order to help them meet their educational needs.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Before meeting with a tutor, students should think about what their academic goals are. That way, the tutor and the student can work on tangible expectations to achieve those objectives.
