Better You Tutoring
About
I am an elementary educator with experience working with students in both general education and English language learning settings. I earned my bachelor’s degree in education and recently completed my master’s degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). Through my classroom teaching experience and graduate studies, I developed strong skills in literacy instruction, reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary development, and supporting diverse learners. I have experience creating engaging lessons that meet students at their individual learning levels while helping them build both academic skills and confidence.
I have worked with students from kindergarten through middle school in classroom, small-group, and one-on-one settings. My experience includes helping students strengthen reading and writing skills, improve organization and study habits, and develop academic language skills across subject areas. I also completed field experiences specifically focused on supporting English language learners in elementary and middle school environments. Throughout my teaching career, I focused on creating a supportive and encouraging atmosphere where students felt comfortable asking questions and growing as learners.
As I transition out of the classroom, I am excited to continue working with students through tutoring because I truly enjoy helping students succeed and gain confidence in their abilities. My teaching approach is patient, supportive, and personalized to each student’s learning style and goals. I believe learning should feel approachable and engaging, and I strive to help students feel successful while making meaningful academic progress.
