Early Chilhood Intervention Specialist.

We work with all students including students with exceptionalities.

We believe every child can succeed in reading when he or she is given the opportunity to read on his or her own reading level. For the first session or two, we will be using a variety of assessments (word lists, reading passages, spelling inventory, etc.) with your child to discover his or her reading and comprehension level as well as strengths and weaknesses.

Sessions will include a variety of activities based on your child’s needs such as reading books, magazine articles, phonics readers, playing games, using manipulatives, paper and pencil or other strategies to accomplish our goals. But above all, we will read. Research shows that struggling readers do not typically get much time to do “real” reading.

We make it our goal that the most time allotted in the tutoring session is for your child to read.

Math tutoring is also available! We would asses students math skills and construct tutoring activities based on our assessments and/or feedback from the parent and childs teachers.

Tutroing help available for children ages 3-12.

We believe you have to love children and enjoy being around children in order to love teaching. We enjoy helping to mold students into what they have the potential to become. We feel like teaching, being a helping profession, is more of a calling than a career choice. Teachers do truly have the power to change lives!
