Three Keys Learning Studio
About
I have a love of learning, and I have an even greater love for teaching what I have learned! I have been a professional tutor for over 20 years. Over that time I have honed techniques and gathered resources that will help my clients to understand math concepts, writing techniques, and test prep skills that will allow them to rock their tests, courses, essays, and get them on to their goals!
You know that moment when you, like, get it? You've been struggling for a bit and then... bam! it comes right into focus and you GOT it!! That's what I love about what I do. I work hard to make that moment happen. I have a knack for shape-shifting the information this way and that way until a student gets it.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
New students often have a good idea of their goals. I typically take a little bit of time chatting with them about those goals, as well as what works for them and what does not work for them. I take time to understand and clarify their responses so that we are both on the same page with their particular path. I am a very independent-style of teacher, so I am able to pinpoint a teaching style for each individual student. I am also extremely aware and flexible so I notice when things are not working and I can change up my style of teaching or my resources on the fly.
How did you get started teaching?
I have always been that natural teacher or tutor who helped her classmates and peers, but I never saw myself teaching in a classroom. Many years ago, the boss of the company for which I was working came to me and said that her daughter was struggling in school. She saw some sort of teaching skills in me because she had me start tutoring her daughter after school several times a week. That was when I caught the tutoring bug!! I have been tutoring professionally ever since.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have experience with and genuinely welcome students with a broad spectrum of abilities, talents, and goals. I have extensive experience working with neuro-diversities such as ADD, Anxiety (general and specific), Autism, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, Gifted and Talented/High IQ, Twice-Exceptional, and others.
All are welcome, and celebrated, here.
