I have more than 15 years experience as a one to one ESOL Tutor and more than 4 years experience as a GED Math Tutor. I also have trained Tutors for local organizations for over 15 years. I received Certifications as an ESOL Tutor from both Laubach Literacy Action and their successor, ProLiteracy. I am very passionate about helping students to improve their skills and look forward to working with you!
Tim is an excellent teacher very kind, passionate, and motivated to help his students reach their goals. I highly recommend him to anybody who wants to improve their language skills or any other academic areas.. He is always willing and available to help as a professional and a friend. He always goes the extra mille.
Tim is so nice, he drive a long time on the snow day to meet with me, he is very patient and help me a lot on my English
The first meeting would involve getting to meet the student, getting to know them a little, find out what they want to study, discuss the materials we will use and confirm a schedule of tutoring sessions and a few ground rules.
I had many hours of training and have used that for over 15 years in working with many students. I found that I have a true passion to teach. I estimate that I have worked with dozens of students. I have also trained over a thousand people to be volunteer ESOL and Basic Literacy Tutors.
Pricing would be based on travel that I'd need to make. I'd like to make somewhere around $24/hour for local (Dayton Area) students and a little more when travelling more than 12 miles each way.
