About
I enjoy tutoring students of all ages to help prepare them for math and science class and for their various exams. I try to encourage my students to try their best, help them strive to reach their full potentials, and empower them to be independent thinkers. I enjoy helping my students achieve their goals and succeed at whatever it is they hope to accomplish.
For the past 5 years, I have been tutoring a number of students, mainly high school students, in all different levels of math and chemistry. I tutor for all sections of the SATs as well. I worked as a teacher for two years in a high school, mainly running one-on-one classes with students who struggled greatly in math and science class. In addition to teaching and tutoring in a high school, I tutored privately for all the math regents courses given in New York, as well as the chemistry regent, and standard math courses from elementary level through high school level. I previously worked for a very prominent SAT Tutoring company in the New York area and currently I privately tutor students for the SATs.
I received a BA in Psychology from Queens College. I am really looking forward to working for tutors.com and continuing to pursue what I love to do!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student, I try to get to know them, create a positive repor, and make them feel as comfortable as possible. It is very important to me that my students know that I care about them and want them to achieve success. I don’t want my students to ever feel judged or feel too embarrassed to say what’s on their mind. When working with a new student, I will assess the student’s knowledge of the material and start teaching from the point where they’re at. Most importantly, I will try and encourage the student from the very start that they have the ability to acheive and will hopefully do great.
