What is your typical process for working with a new student?
1.First step is to get to know the individual.
2. Identify their goals and time frame

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Farida’s Tutoring Services is developed by experienced teachers and professionals who have had a front-row seat to the struggle students are facing with COVID 19, and school closures. Evidence has shown that this is especially true in math. We experienced the struggle of remote teaching and learning and would like to provide support.
We will provide a Step-by-step multi-sensory approach that addresses every detail, and answers all student’s questions. So that there are no lingering doubts, and individuals can also build the confidence to be a better problem solver. We will use diagnostic exams to assess student’s struggles and create an individualized learning path based on student needs and learning styles.
We are concentrating on serving Math and languages( Arabic, French, Spanish,). We want to help anyone in need, especially struggling students with learning disabilities, and even the so-called “Non Math people''. We also offer several language classes. That is delivered by professional translators from all around the world. Whether it is for leisure or for a competitive edge in the workforce, our dynamic instructors will help you reach your goal.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be honest and direct. Ask as many questions as you need, and don't be shy or afraid of an answer. A tutor should be able to work with any student. Make sure they appreciate and welcome your questions and MISTAKES. As they are crucial in learning, you have to make all the your mistakes with your tutor, so that you won't repeat them in class. So my advice is make sure you are comfortable to err.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Do not hesitate nor think you need to know your exact struggle. Simply take a breather and try your best to tell your tutor what goes on in your head when the struggles are present. It could be academic or it could be nerves. There are many factors and each person is an individual. There are no right or wrong answers.
