At Ace Academic Tutoring, we feel that it is important for our students to get on track and stay on track! Ace Academic's tutoring program is proudly assisting students everyday by bettering their academic skills and techniques. Our after-school program follows the New York State Common Core Standards to assist and perfect our student's homework.
Providing a comfortable environment is important. Tutoring should never feel like a punishment for not doing well. At Ace, we want it to feel like a home away from home. Ace is where a child can let go of the everyday classroom pressures of struggling to getting the teacher's attention or being afraid to ask a question and truly focus on learning, understanding concepts, and applying it not only in the classroom... but outside of it.
We enjoy being relatable to our students. We get why it is important to relate and bond with our students so that we can instruct in a more meaningful way. Having a relationship with our students helps us find the most useful and catered approaches when teaching. This is usually missed in the classroom due to class sizes and constant distractions. Our experience has shown us that staying relatable helps our instruction stick and create long term changes in our student’s lives. Knowing where your student has been helps us guide them as to where they are going, pushes them to be themselves and understand how they learn best. Being uncommonly relatable is where schools and other academic organizations fall short.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student we first, evaluate. Our specific and developed evaluation system is imperative to our process. Once we have a better understanding of the student's strengths and weaknesses, we open up lines of communication with teachers, coaches and mentors. We then sit down with our parents and discuss our individualized plan of action. It is only then that we introduce the standard aligned resources that we want to instruct.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our entire team is trained in a variety of topics with additional emphasis on specific subject areas. Our teachers are Dept.of Education certified and currently in the classroom. Our tutors are actively seeking out their certifications and undergo our own continuous series of Professional Development and training courses.

Our pricing varies, but is quite competitive, and can only be ascertained once we better understand our student's needs.

We advise that you find a tutor that fits with your needs beyond their knowledge of the material you are looking to learn.
