Math Help
About
I explain concepts from an Algebraic, Graphical and Numerical perspective particularly focusing on the student's favored learning perspective. I use tangible, fascinating, real-life examples to help students develop an appreciation and utility for concepts and math skills. I draw upon the student's particular areas of interest when teaching a topic, pointing out parallels between the two and places where the two intersect. If you want to learn math, I can show you how.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student I like to question the student to gauge their skill level and current understanding of the target concepts. I also like to get to know the student by getting a little background to see what their interest areas consist of. I have found that when I can pair mathematics with the students interests understanding comes easier. I am during this brief period and what follows trying to reveal the students preferrable learning perspective (Algebraic, Numerical or Graphical) and which approach would be best suited for this students learning style. I then on my free time I develop a personal learning plan for the student with their interests and learning style in mind and enumerate achieveable learning goals for the student. After I get to know the student and get a feel for how they best learn I use that in the future with minor tweaks based on how things progress.
