Brianna Goldston Excellent English Tutoring
About
Teaching is a passion of mine, so I decided to turn it into a career. Books changed my life in a big way, and I'm elated to share their power with my students. I was an honors student, so I decided to use my knowledge to help others. Ive been tutoring for over 7 years, in multiple subjects. If you're looking for someone who cares about what they do, here I am!
I think the written word is the most powerful weapon a person can wield. Showing that to my students has inspired them, and in turn makes me happy that I've had some small impact on the people they will become. Working towards a goal with a student and then subsequently achieving that goal gives me great pleasure.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Generally the first meeting is strictly getting to know one another, see if we're a good fit. We discuss your likes and interests, as I always try to incorporate fun into the learning process. If we're both satisfied, then I start with some testing to see how much you know and what to work on in the beginning to set a firm foundation.
How did you get started teaching?
My high school English teacher was a big inspiration for me. She helped me see that if she could do it, so could I.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students from elementary through college, from all backgrounds.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Not everyone is a good fit. Shop around, meet different tutors until you find your perfect match.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think about your goals, and how you want to achieve them. Is there something specific you want to work on? Or do you need help with the entire subject? Then speak to your instructor about them.
